PROFESSIONAL FRONT END ALIGNMENT SERVICES
Walt's Auto Service is the auto shop to trust for regular maintenance services, from suspension repairs to front end alignments. A front end alignment is a procedure that helps extend the life of both your car and your tires.
What Is A Front End Alignment?
The main adjustment conducted with this procedure is to the front end toe setting. All vehicles have an adjustable front toe setting, while some also have adjustable rear toe settings. For these vehicles, a four-wheel alignment is necessary.
The toe setting angle compares the distance between the front and rear edges of the tire and how far apart those edges are from each other. A zero toe setting places the front and rear edges of the tires equidistant from each other, while a positive toe setting angles the front edges of the tires inward. A negative toe setting angles the front edges of the tires outward.
It is not always easy to know when you should bring your vehicle in for a front end alignment, but there are a few telltale signs. Two of the most common include increased or uneven tire wear and the car pulling to one side. These symptoms may come on gradually or could be the result of an impact with a curb.
